ISS Solar Transit Merge

Like MJ224 I was out trying to get an ISS transit shot on Sunday morning. I managed to get my timing right this time and managed to get 13 shots of it's 0.76 sec transit. Here's the merged shot showing the whole transit.

EM1 MK2, 75-300, Tripod and Polarie tracker (well done to MJ224 for getting that handheld shot).

Re: ISS Solar Transit Merge

Great composition Jon,

I got all 13 shots but not sure how to merge them........

And again thanks for the info etc helping me to achieve.............

My only additional gem of knowledge is to use/buy a watch that corrects itself every night. I use a Casio Wavecapture. I know Citizen do similar, as do many manufacturers I imagine. Thus I know the time to a second, so capturing ISS timing was not too difficult.

I also put the photo on TP, I think that caused a bit of interest.

Now to capture the ISS in front of the moon.................

Another stunning shot. You guys are making it look too easy!
A Moon version would be pretty cool too.

Re: ISS Solar Transit Merge

So you colour a baseball and expect us to believe it is the ISS flying past the sun.

These are brilliant shots a lot of work and effort with amazing results.

Re: ISS Solar Transit Merge

WOW!

Amazing what you can achieve with some fine thread and a few Star Wars toys.
