14-35mm F2.0 SWD

Does anyone know anything about just when we will see this new lens in the UK? I see that the Digial Depot have started taking deposits for the lens but when I last spoke to them they did not have any timescale or price guide for it.

I think looking at the spec it is going to be an expensive piece of glass. I have not found much on the web yet but if any of you dedicated surfers have I would appreciate a reply with a web link.

Should anyone have any news on this lens I would be very interested as my Dad is obviously tempted. It would be nice to try and tempt him further being the resposible son that I am!!

Sorry no info from me, but just wanted to say i'm envious of you having a dad that is temptable! If mine went for anything it would be an E510 with kit lenses (not that there is anything at all wrong with that excellent kit, but it isn't a 14-35 for my E3 )

good luck convincing him!

Phil

It's being listed for pre-order by a couple of Canadian dealers, one dealer at $2,400 CAD, the other at $2,250 CAD.

Amazon.com in the US is listing it at $2,300 USD available on March 1st.

I'm hopeing Ian will offer one as a competition prize (ok Ian - I know it doesn't make economic sense).

Failing that can I offer to do a long term review?

Well the 150 f2 is just under that (in US$), so maybe it will hit our shores at 1800 - 2000

I have used this seller before. No problems, just check that he has stock in the UK.

Agreed, 3-4 day posting was promised which turned out to be a bit longer, especially around Easter Hols.
