Re: The e-group Bank Holiday Challenge thread - entries here

Due to the wet conditions encountered today - I may, subject to downloading my last image taken, meet the ten mark. See you later.

Re: The e-group Bank Holiday Challenge thread - entries here

Just for fun here's an entry - "Rinse Cycle"

1 - The Bank Holiday Weather

2 - Something you did not expect to see!
Sadly, damp washing is a likely event in the UK

3 - Yellow
Well there's a bit of yellow in the above pic

6 - 04:00 in the morning!
It was hung up yesterday, so it was there at 4am

...

Tie-breaker:
"I chose Olympus because... I don't have to carry a mountain!"

Use IMAGE SIZE then FILE / SAVE AS when you save as a JPEG you get a slider coming up that allows you to alter the amount of compression. Set this to about 5 and you will get a small file size and decent quality.

Re: The e-group Bank Holiday Challenge thread - entries here

Well, I managed to get all 10, but only just - in terms of accuracy to the category and quality of image!!

1 - Bank Holiday Weather: Spotted the rain running off a distant farm gate... thought... "Hmmm, that'd be a little different for the challenge..."

2 - Something you did not expect to see!: Heather and a Hawk making direct eye contact!

3 - Yellow: The only thing yellow I spotted all weekend!

4 - Laughing/Enjoyment: Heather and her friend Seren (who stayed over) had a wonderful time together this weekend: I thought this image made them look 'sisterly' - Seren was flicking Heathers nose! they were in stitches

5 - It's dinner time!: It's the European Eagle Owl again this time about to have dinner and devour a chick!

6 - 04:00 in the morning!: A tricky category... and a poor entry from me to boot... Ho-hum, at least I managed to get up at this unearthly hour and see who else was online at 04:00 in the morning!! Who sets these challenges eh!!

7 - A Clock Tower: Well... the weather just didn't hold up did it? So, here's three clock towers I can see from my bedroom window - thank goodness for the Bigma coupled with the Oly EC14...!

8 - Something cute!: Well... I think they are cute... and added some vignetting to enhance the effect and make the central one stand out more!

9 - A Candid shot of someone, anyone but this must be... outside: Forgot I needed this one, so when it was too late I looked at the shots I took when at the Welsh HAwking Center yesterday, and thankfully I found one, but another very poor entry! At least the horse is having a nose!

10 - Music: Heather at the piano!

Well, there's mine - looking forward to seeing everyone else's entries.

You're very welcome Shirley... it's been fun yeah... Thanks for taking the time to collate your entries like this - it makes the job of looking through each one a lot easier.

Re: The e-group Bank Holiday Challenge thread - entries here

Here we go, a weekend in the hills that kind of hits the spots:

Sheltering for lunch (weather):

Building a shelter (candid):

Dinner time:

Enjoyment:

Yellow fire:

Not quite 0400, more like 0505:

A babbling brook singing to me:

Clock tower:

Unexpected:

Cute, ducks eating at the neigbours' table:

I chose Olympus because I needed a waterproof camera for Bank Holiday Challenges!
