E-System User Photographer of the Year 2017

The Monthly Photo Challenge was given a facelift and relaunched in April after a forum debate on which format it should take. It was initially overseen by me before Mark (MJ224) kindly took the helm, for which I am extremely grateful. Each round has produced some fantastic pictures and a marvellous showcase for the talent we have on this forum.

Mark has given me the honour of announcing the overall winner of the eight rounds contested last year and it gives me great pleasure to bestow the title of Olympus E-System User Photographer of the Year 2017 upon Paul Kaye (PDK42).

Paul achieved an astonishing 5 firsts (several shared with other entrants), making him the clear winner. So congratulations to Paul and our grateful thanks to all who entred each round or took the trouble to vote for their favourite. The 2018 competition is already underway and I wonder who will challenge Paul for the crown this year? Of one thing I'm certain - we are in for a treat of top quality and imaginative entries from the wide range of talent we have on this forum.
