Reflections in the early morning light.

For the past week, I have been wandering around the Queensland coast as far as Agnes Water, before turning inland towards Barcaldine, where I am to attend a wedding this afternoon (Saturday). On the way, I stayed the night with an old friend in Emerald, who insisted in showing me the sites.

I'll post some more photos when I get to an area that has better internet connectivity, but I just couldn't resist this one taken during a dawn stroll through the Emerald Botanic Gardens:

That is one very classy shot there, Larry. I like the way you caught the sun kissed treetops, and even a duck or two :
So can we look forward to seeing a few romantic wedding shots after the reception this afternoon - just stay off the grog and on the job, mate!

Re: Reflections in the early morning light.

Thanks Mark(s)!

I behaved myself at the wedding. Fortunately there were a couple of "professional" photographers there. - Amateurs with very decent Canon equipment (EOS 5D III & IV and some very pretty lenses), who very definitely knew what they were about. I just snuck in a few with the Olympus when the opportunity presented itself.

Tomorrow..... On through Longreach and Winton, before spending the night in McKinlay (of Walkabout Creek Hotel of Crocodile Dundee fame).

One parting shot about Emerald..... What would be a prerequisite for naming a town "Emerald"? - An Irish pub!

(Sorry about the pic being taken using a Canon.)

2417edst: From my phone in bed. Fab night shot of the pub. Ill take a closer look on the puter, later. Canon eh ... none dare call it treason!
