Magnifying image before taking picture.

I have just traded in my EM-10 for an EM-1 and have found that the menu is almost identical. A good thing too as it was quite a learning curve coming from Panasonic cameras. There is one thing that I was able to set up on the 10 which I can't seem to do on the 1. I was able to magnify the image in the EVF when using a legacy (macro) lens. I even assigned it to the video button so it was just a one touch operation. I can't remember how I did it on the 10 and can't find any reference in the 1 menu. Any advice would be most welcome.

Re: Magnifying image before taking picture.

I don't have an E-M1 but the function you are looking for is called "MF Assist".

Page 99 of the E-M1 manual covers this and how to assign it to a button.

Regards.

Re: Magnifying image before taking picture.

Thanks for the reply Peter and chevvy. I didn't mean MF Assist, but I have found the answer, it is on the function 1 button menu as Magnify. Thanks for your assistance.

Re: Magnifying image before taking picture.

The fn 2 button is Multifunction by default & by holding the button while rotating the rear wheel Magnify can be selected as one of the 4 functions.
