Loweswater and Crummock water

Here are a couple of shots from my visit to crummock with the dog.

I stopped off at Loweswater on the way and took this

As the sun set behind Melbreak I took this shot.

Re: Loweswater and Crummock water

The sun just breaking through from the right and picking out the crown of the trees is a nice catch. The second shot "Melbreak" is a very calm but bleak landscape. The tree branches on the right pull it all together. Nice shooting and great scenery.

Nice pictures, in particular the second one where the ripples especially have a wonderfull quality, but is it my eyes or are there slight halos where the hills meet the sky in these shots?
