The New Birmingham Library...

Had a long weekend away this wekend just gone, well OK 3 days, and visited Birmingham as well as a couple of other areas around Birmingham, but went over to the Gas Street area had a meal etc etc, just didn't take my camera, which I kicked myself over as we ended up visiting the new Birmingham Library.

Wow what can I say, it's a fantastic place to visit, and for photo's (which you can take as I did ask, as long as there are no people in them!!) full of curves and lines and books of course, at night it glows different colours, and you can visit the top viewing area giving you panoramic views over Birmingham.

I didn't have the chance to get back there so if anyone out there is planning a visit to birmingham, make sure you visit and TAKE THE CAMERA !!

Look forward to seeing some images here soon..

Cheers

Peter

Re: The New Birmingham Library...

By coincidence I went to Brum last night to see Crosby Stills and Nash at the NIA. I always slip my epl-2 and 17mm in my pocket just in case and took this snap of the library just as the light was going. I think the building looks best at night - I really don't like it during the day.

By the way CS&N were fantastic; not many young people in the audience though!

Nice pic it certainly looks different at night than in the day.
