Golden Gate Bridge, North Tower in b/w, wide angle view

Walked out to the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge yesterday, after putting my wife on a flight to Montana. Took along on my walk my new fling and favorite cheap date, the e-410. Below was at 9mm focal length, using the 9-18.

Re: Golden Gate Bridge, North Tower in b/w, wide angle view

I would really like to do that; walk out to the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge that is, not put my wife on a flight to Montana - although...........

You got a great angle on the bridge, Stewart.

Re: Golden Gate Bridge, North Tower in b/w, wide angle view

I went over the GG a couple years back - I couldn't even look up at that angle without feeling dizzy and rather perturbed, so nice to see what I would've seen! I went over the rather less glamourous Forth Road Bridge at the weekend... it's not really the same.

Great shot

Mike

Re: Golden Gate Bridge, North Tower in b/w, wide angle view

Thanks guys, for taking a peek. My neck hurt all the rest of the day from composing that shot and all the others that didn't quite make the cut.
Montana...that's a new one for my wife, and in a couple of hours I'll be heading back to the airport to pick her up. A beautiful place, Montana, and lovely people, she says, though everyone, at least where she was, seems to smoke. She could take a taxi home if she wanted to (is paid for), but driving her is one less thing for her to worry about, and I, currently "between careers," get to wander a bit on the way home, camera in hand.

Shows the immensity without the length, I really admire this picture.
No tilt screen on a E410?

Re: Golden Gate Bridge, North Tower in b/w, wide angle view

Glad I could share a bit of local scenery! The far views from the bridge were obscured by haze, so I had to look "inward."

Re: Golden Gate Bridge, North Tower in b/w, wide angle view

I thought at first you were going to tell us that after putting your wife on a plane you jumped off the bridge - just a silly thought Stewart, glad you didn't, the pic is a cracker.
