Bird ID Please?

Auchterader is a small place just off the A9 about half way between Stirling and Perth. Over the course of a few days I saw this (I think it is potentially the same bird in each shot) over the fields but do not know what it is. In spite of its easy movements I had extreme difficulty trying to get focus on such a small spot as the outline was moving (wings flapping) and there was very little contrast in the body due to it being almost in silhouette. Would the E-M5iii with on sensor PDAF do any better when it finally gets released? Anyway, I know some of you like a challenge so any chance of an ID please?

So this is the OOC shot.

Cropped and enhanced as best I could in Olympus Workspace. Elements may be able to squeeze a little more out of the RAW but I doubt its worth it.

Two more cropped and enhanced shots:

Two days later just after lunch...

... and mid afternoon.

Re: Bird ID Please?

The last one is an Osprey, but it is a different bird in shot 2, that might be a Raven looking at the beak?

Re: Bird ID Please?

I agree with Iain. The second bird is definitely an Osprey and the diamond shaped tail makes the first one a Raven for me. Two great birds OM.

Re: Bird ID Please?

Just looked again and shot 3 looks to be a Buzzard?

Re: Bird ID Please?

I think you are right again Iain. I didn't notice that the shots were taken at different times, so I just went by the larger last one. So one bird has now become three?

Re: Bird ID Please?

Iain, Mark, Wildwood, Ron.

Many thanks you for your suggestions. I'll go with the 3 bird scenario of Raven, Buzzard, and Osprey as that means I can add Osprey to my list. I thought Ospreys were sea birds though and Stirling/Perth puts us closer to the middle of that bit of Scotland than either coast.
