Re: Street shots

I would prefer to see the faces of the subjects, or as the viewer at least feel some involvement with them. However I think the background to the boy with the BMX is great!

Re: Street shots

Thanks for the comments Zuiko. I will try more to engage with the subject in future. The boy was looking at me, but turned his face almost at the last moment. I tried to link the word 'solo' with the biker, but didn't quite succeed.

regards,
Adal

Re: Street shots

Just a few thoughts........

I know street photography is probably supposed to have "rough edges" with jaunty angles and bits missing off them but these look more like "ordinary images" which normally need attention to comp etc.

Are these the full frame (no crops) shots. If so then they are as you intended.
But if not and were shot at the 200 end I wonder why the lad on the bike is a bit tight to the edge with the wall painting border on the left further cramping him.
Likewise on the motorbike one the pannier is just going off the edge.

If they were shot at 150 ish then there would be some scope to do some comp tinkering afterwards.

I can live with no eye contact on them...especially the 2nd as it is the big part of the pic wondering what he's looking at in the window.

Thanks
Keith
