Feeling rich grab a bargain!!!

If you have a a spare 3.5K to spend on a lens Amazon UK are selling the 90-250 f2.8 for that price, considering it's normally 4.5K that's a great deal, better hurry though only 2 available

Re: Feeling rich grab a bargain!!!

I can remember when there were only three left

I don't think this product really sells well on Amazon - after all who (other than me) would goto an on-line bookshop to purchase a top-pro lens. Bit of a pain that they've lopped another 300 from the price though.

Re: Feeling rich grab a bargain!!!

I bought the 14-35 and 35-100 from them, I'd lurve to get the 90-250 but don't have the money atm. The prices on Amazon change day to day by several hundred pounds too.

How do you find the lens? I briefly used one at the Scotland meet, it was huge, not the thing you just carry around "incase" lol.

Well it's big, but balances well on the camera, I carry it fully assembled in a large cine camera bag which I can hitch across my back for portage.

But I agree - for a day-out, it's not a great trekking lens.

Just casual birding at the moment. But I think it'll come into its own for outdoor events, where the speed, reach and shallow dof will open up opportunities.
