Wired remote for E-PL2?

Hi. Please can anyone confirm whether the E-PL2 can take the RM-UC1 remote corded control that (for example) fits the E620, E-30, EP-1 and EP-2? I've read conflicting reports, and ideally I'd like confirmation from someone who's actually got this to work.

The E-PL2 has a mini-USB socket, whereas I thought the RM-UC1 had a microUSB plug, but I might be wrong on that.

If not, can anyone please post details of any corded remote that they have found to work with the E-PL2?

Many thanks.

Re: Wired remote for E-PL2?

The RM-UC1 is listed on the Olympus website as being the correct remote for the E-PL2: Olympus E-PL2

To be correct the plug on the RM-UC1 is not a conventional USB plug (micro or mini) it is a proprietary Olympus plug that supports USB functionality. It just happens to look very similar a standard USB connector.
