Digital SLR magazine

I, like some others here were disappointed with the revamp Digital SLR magazine, especially subscribers. It was suggested that we had the subscriptions changed to Advanced Photographer, which is what I did..
May issue came today and what a difference - focus stacking, ND filter tests, and using grads to balance out contrast - perfect.
They even tested the mighty ZD 50mm f2 macro in with other good similar optics. Didn't win (84% though) - let down a bit by noisy and slow AF, cost and not being great for general use. But hey, it was probably the oldest lens tested.
Shalln't be selling mine though. No siree!

I don't think I had the offer to change, but I've been getting the Advanced Photographer (late) from the News Agent & noticed it was cheaper than DSLR User. I wonder if they will extend the subscription seeing the new magazines are cheaper. I think I will contact them to change & just buy the odd from the News Agent (again late) if it contains something interesting.

Re: Digital SLR magazine

I didn't actually receive an offer to change - it was just that others on this forum had managed it. I just emailed my request to Bright Publishing and they were happy to do it.
Job done.
