Buttermere reflection

Well this is unusual for me as it is in summer but the forecast was for light winds and I was off work anyway so I went out and was pretty much on my own

Buttermere morning reflections by Alf Branch, on Flickr

What do you think?

Re: Buttermere reflection

Great shot, full of mood. That distant patch of sunlight falls just in the right place and makes all the difference.

Re: Buttermere reflection

I agree with John that light makes the shot. It's a very atmospheric morning image that looks like an old painting.

Re: Buttermere reflection

What's not to like Alf - its outstanding. I could not bring to mind the descriptive adjective I was looking for but I think Phil got it right comparing it to a painting. The colours are rich and deep and the reflection is just muted enough to fit in with the overall ambience.
