Hallo from Thailand

My name is Michael, 57,friends call me Mike for short. I am married for 17 years with a daughter age 12. I live in Thailand for almost 27 years, but born in Austria, grown up in New York at the age of 9. I sold all my DSLR's, Nikon D5100, Nikon D7000, D7200 and lenses, etc., and bought a Olympus EM10-Mark2. (black version), but give it away to my cousin and got now an Olympus EM5 ii and a Oly 12-40 2.8 pro.

BTW, mik suggested this forum as well as he did the Forum four thirds. Thanks Mike

I saw some familiar Names here, I am happy to see you guys and I am glad that wornisch, Dave is here too.

Re: Hallo from Thailand

Hi Mike. I recognise your user id from the mu43 forum. Welcome to the UK E Group.

Regarding posting images, I personally find the gallery here way too basic. I normally upload images to Flickr and then post the BBCode from there into posts here.

I have to think over it, maybe I go back to flickr. I resix=ze my photos to 1200 long side, but here I can just 1000, this is the reason why I have to rethink going back to flickr, or resize to 1000, or....????

At https://fourthirds-user.com/forum/ Iand did a grreat job to upload there

Everything here will eventually be based on what is being developed on the Four Thirds User forum.

In the mean time you can try to use our gallery at:

https://e-group.uk.net/gallery/index.php

This will be retired when the upgrade to the new forum is implemented.

I actually now recommend users find a dependable third party image store and Flickr is a good example - it's also free. It's not as generous in facilities as it used to be but it's still good.

Ian

Only just seen this.
Welcome to the forum.

I remember you from the Nikon site a while ago. Like you, I sold all my Nikon gear and have never looked back.

Re: Hallo from Thailand

I see we have another Thai ex-pat (I presume) - from Kalasin. That's a town I know as it's not that far from where my father settled. We were there last year and enjoyed the pool at the Rimpao hotel
