ZD 300/2.8 (Yes, really)

I've finally decided that my body can't cope any longer with the weightlifting. Arthritis has left its toll and I'm going to sell the 300/2.8 and hopefully get the mZuiko 300/4 when it finally appears.

Aside from some very minor scuffs on the bodywork, this lens is in perfect condition. The optics are perfect and have no issues whatsoever. It is, unusually, fitted with a 112mm Contax protector filter ensuring the front element is protected. The thumb screw for the lens hood was replaced with a Canon one but works fine. I have owned this lens for 7 years and the results, with and without teleconverters are astounding. A sad loss for me but arthritis prevents me carrying this beast so easily now..

The accessory pack is included (ND4, ND8, polarising filter) but I have never used them. Bag and hood cover are in good condition .

I'm looking for about 2700, but sensible offers considered. This is also on ebay, so you have a week to get this rare and prized lens. Postage included if bought here and bank transfer used!

It is a space for internal filters, the filter holder is shown in the same image on the top of the lens

Re: ZD 300/2.8 (Yes, really)

Works well on the E-M1, the focussing speed is not up to 40-150Pro standards, but it isn't bad. I've used it for birds in flight without problem.

Andy, how about posting some of the BiF shots you got with the lens. Not that I can afford it myself but I'd just like to see some more of your superb shots. Helps keep your ad on the first page too.

Phill has got a point, the best advert for this lens would surely be the superb pictures it has produced in your hands - not that there is any guarantee that the new owner will get the same results!

Re: ZD 300/2.8 (Yes, really)

The eBay auction has bids on it now, but I'll still consider an offer from the forum.

Time to clear that Inbox, Andy, or you won't get any (more) offers!

Re: ZD 300/2.8 (Yes, really)

Inbox cleared but sadly the lens is now sold... Having an emotionally charged visit to post it today. I used it for the last time yesterday at Rutland Water.

Here's hoping the funds stay in my account until the mZ 300/4 Pro is released and that the new lens lives up to high expectations.
