Falling Leaves

I had an hour or two to wait while my car was being serviced.
It was overcast and raining so I took a stroll into our city park to soak up the late autumn colour and got a little soaked myself.

Framed through the lens of an XZ-1

I rather liked the way the leaves were cradled in the fork.

Re: Falling Leaves

Time well spent, and well worth the soaking!. Beautiful autumnal shots.

Thanks John, isn't it interesting how on somedays you go for a long bushwalk really trying hard for good pictures and come home with a card full of mediocrity, whilst on other days when you're just wandering about town filling in time you can come home with a bag full of keepers.

In Oz we are so accustomed to bright blue vivid sunshine and high contrast sit's that when it eventually does rain, our creative juices start flowing again.

I am reminded of a favourite poem which sums up the way Aussies feel after a long drought.
It's rather long I guess, but every verse sums up what I was trying to express less eloquently in this thread.

That's what is nice about photo forums that enable us to see Earth's four seasons in real time, Chevvy.
