Agreed, Lorenzo's tactics were pretty much all he could employ and have some control over, anything else was reliant on others.
The first half certainly made for exciting viewing

Agreed, pity he didn't have a team mate capable of helping him out.

Yes I was hoping the Rossi would step up to the plate but he was struggling to keep up even when Lorenzo was backing them up.

Re: Moto GP ?

I have to say what a mature ride from Marc in such a young hungry to win body. I though Jorge realised that he had done wrong and could find himself in trouble with an in race penalty and that's why he ignored his pit board. He must have been really concerned if Dani had got back on terms because I do not think they would have finished! A good result all round for all concerned considering what has happened at previous rounds.

Re: Moto GP ?

Not seen the race yet - but not impressed with Rossi giving JB the elbow

Nor impressed with the style (or lack thereof) Rossi did it

Infact, I am not a Rossi fan anymore ! He could have done this in classy way - after all the "millions he made and would not have, without JB" !

Agreed, it was a shame, he could have done it in the closed season rather than in the public manner he did.

Re: Moto GP ?

Well that was one of the best GPs in recent times!

Jorge couldn't have done any more, and went down fighting like a true Champion. For him to have been penalised would have been an absolute travesty though - remember Marc and the last corner at Jerez?

But you can't take anything away from Marc - that was a stellar season by any standards, but that of a rookie makes it especially wonderful. He rightly goes into the history books.

Very disappointed in Rossi for all the reasons mentioned above. The value of his real estate has taken quite a dive this weekend, with only uncertainity to look forward to as well, now Burgess has been given the heave-ho. The beginning of the end for VR46? (Or was that when he went to Ducati? )

Re: Moto GP ?

Yes a GREAT RACE ! more like the old racing when Lorenzo first came on the scene trying to take the Rossi crown

Well done Marc earned so well

I fear Rossi got so angry when Lorenzo came on scene and on stream ... he left Y for the wrong reasons and was advised not to take Ducati on ... but JB supported him through the thin days ... and even followed him back to Y, now to be well and truly kicked in the teeth in public NOT supporting Rossi anymore from here and I do believe Rossi shall continue to be 4th and 6th next year too

I do not know the sequence of events other than I understood it was JB who called for the press conference after Valentino broke the news to him privately.

I will not judge on what little I have heard so far. But it is clear that for some years now Rossi has not been getting the bike to feel the way he likes to ride. Bike racing has been getting more and more technical with setup being critical. Bikes setup in the Mick Doohan days do not work today. Those riders that get it all right put in some incredible lap times consistently. Rossi feels he needs a change, he will need to choose his next mechanic wisely or he will have to hang-up his riding boots.
