Just seen this but do not have the 7-14mmpro
I use dew heaters on the 300mm f4 and 40-150f2.8 for astrophotogrphy they are a must have in the uk in winter IMHO. Once a lens forms dew that's it for the night.

There are many brands on the market be careful of the cheaper ones the leads can easily pull out of the tape part. That has happened to me.
I quite like those tape heaters from Dew Control as the lead come out of the side of the tape not tried them but have handle them at an astro show. When mine give up that's what I intend to replace them with.

I should add that you will need a 12vdc power source as well I use the Skywatcher PowerTank 17Ah

You could try hand warmers wrapped in duct tape they are a one off use but at about 1 a shot/night could work. Some examples on internet.
