A recently emerged male Escher's Blue from around 800 metres up in the Cevennes in Southern France. Not a common butterfly and entirely absent from Harold's garden and indeed the whole UK.

I saw one on the trip. Alongside many other blues. Common Blue is well known, but I will post a few of the more exotic ones as on several it was my first ever sighting and I was astonished at the depth of the colours. the sunshine and abundant plant life did help bring it all together.
