Although the BSOD hasn't been a regular occurrence of late, the upgrade from W8 to W8.1 seems to have been jinxed. Updates do not update and the system has problems reversing the screwed update processes.

Am now on my second day of attempting to install updates to the system. ATM it seems the workaround is to do a few at a time... How did M$ know I was retired, that I had nothing to do and that I had all day to do it in???

All this is because I'd like to try out W10. Fortunately, I have W7 on another HDD which is easy to swap in or out.
