Re: BLM-5 clones - any good?

There is nothing intrinsically wrong with clones, some are equal to or better than the Olympus originals, however unlike manufacturers OEM products where you can generally rely on the quality (though nothing is 100% perfect) the range of quality of clones is huge ranging from the downright dangerous and 'ought not to be allowed for sale' to the very good and brilliant value for money.

You pay your money and take your choice, if you are sensible you stick to a maker who has a track record in batteries such as Energizer, Hahnel or UNiROSS or if not, at least a brand that uses named known cells such as Panasonic or Sanyo.
