Re: Resizing and uploading photos

There are various ways to show images in threads, including uploading them to a gallery here, or linking out to another site like Flickr.

When I upload direct to gallery I also do it from lightroom - create an export preset for Olympus Forum (File / Export); choose a folder on your hard drive as the intermediate stage in the first settings box, then further down in File settings, you can specify the type of file (Jpeg) and limit the maximum file size by putting a value into the box and checking it. I use 500kb to stay within the gallery limit of around 512Kb.

You can also specify an image size - I happen to have 800px long edge, but it can be smaller. Save all this as a preset, then next time you can just Export with Preset, and it's only one click. Your images should then upload from your hard drive with no hassle from the forum.
