I would think he'd be able to scream up into higher harmonics with a french horn mouthpiece then though (since that is what I think happens on a french horn anyhow). I was put off continuing playing brass (a bit of tuba & then trombone) after someone said they ended up with a throat hernia from playing a trumpet. Fiddles & whistles are safer.

I fiddle with violins (when I'm not fiddling with a camera).
