Re: L-Bracket for the OM-D E-M1 MKII

I tested out half a dozen generic L plates at the Photography Show on the E-M1ii. All obstruct the battery door, but none of them (unlike all the closer-fitting made-for-E-M1ii ones) obstruct the rear screen articulation much or at all.

The Acratech one is built like a brick outhouse, fits well and is superbly finished, but is v expensive, so I came away with a natty blue anodised one from Novoflex for £46 from Speedgraphic. Iíve used it several times already and it seems to lock on securely and it hasnít marked the body, plus you can loosen the screw and slide it sideways to change the battery without having to take it off altogether.

The tripod screw socket is quite far forward on the M1ii and several of the other generic plates I tried didnít seem to give a very secure fit, but the Acratech and Novoflex seemed OK.
