Neanura muscorum & Friends

The grey/bluish individual is Neanura. The other two are Monobella grassei. Both are in the family Neanuridae, together with other genera, all of which have piercing and sucking mouthparts. Other Collembola, in other families have biting and chewing mouthparts.

Olympus EM-1 (manual mode), Leitz Wetzlar Photar 25mm f2.5 macro at f16,single TTL flash, hand-held with support.

The stereo is crosseye and is slightly exaggerated.
