I have bought components from Novatech before but reviews of their laptops suggest they have a cheap build and poor screens, which is shame because the CPU and graphics power is excellent for the money.

The Dell XPS 15 L502X at the Dell Outlet store looks very promising. Excellent performance and build quality but a bit big and bulky. Great price:

Only question mark - only 2GB SDRAM is listed! But it does have a 256GB SSD.

PS Contrary to my earlier note, the battery is removable and I think you get two (one 6 cell and one 9 cell). It's the newer XPS 15z, I think, that has a fixed battery.
