I can vouch for the stability of the TP Link 80Mbps having used three of them (through extension leads as it happens) in a home network for a couple of years. The throughput of data was throttled to about 8MBps vs. 18MBps on a trailing 10m ethernet cable however. Now that I have type N wireless, only the one in the shed gets any use.

It's hardly a significant sample, but I know other people who bought the Belkin version of powerline (more expensive = better, of course) and had loads of trouble.
