I was a bit worried about the larger size, but actually it isn't an issue really - even on the Pen F.

What has surprised me is the stunning IQ and the even more stunning IS. I've taken completely sharp hand held shots on the E-M1ii at 8s at 12mm. Stunning really.
I traded my 14-42 EZ & 40-150 II for a Panasonic 14-140 II which provides Dual IS on a GX8 It's a very good "Travel" kit and it too produces very good results.

My 12-40 is virtually fixed to the E-M1 and gets a good amount of use at f/2.8

If starting from scratch the 12-100 would be the one to go for.
