Chris,

I have an E620 which has been stood down to "back up" status since I got an E5. I have not had an E3 or E30 so I can't comment on them directly. I mainly got the E5 because we had so much rain!

So far as noise is concerned, the E620 is worse than the E5, E-P1 and E-P2. The E3 or E30 will, I expect, be worse still as the have an older processor.

I always shoot RAW and I used to PP in CS2, with a 3rd party noise plug in. Working this way, the E620 had to be limited to ISO 400.

Now I PP in LR 4, the noise whose reduction capability is excellent. I now usually use AUTO ISO with an upper limit of 1600 on the E5 and the PENs or 1250 for the E620.

Another solution perhaps...
