I completely missed the fact that there was a partial eclipse and well done those that captured it.

Doesn't the use of standard mechanical shutter or even anti-shock mechanical shutter just introduce more chance of blurring the image? When doing moon shots either handheld or with a tripod I always use the electronic shutter. There is no chance anything is going to move suddenly in front of the moon and create an issue.
