Re: Advice 2nd hand M5 Mk1 or New OM10

Well, if you ask an opinion you'll likely get several alternatives! Personally, unless weather sealing is important to you, I'd go for the E-M10. These are my reasons:

- Later camera. Later firmware.
- Better ergonomics - the buttons are less squishy and better separated/laid out.
- More features - such as LiveComp, EFCS (0s antishock), focus peaking, built-in flash, Wi-Fi
- Of these, LiveComp, Wi-Fi and EFCS are really worth having IMHO

The only downside I can think of, aside from weather sealing, of the E-M10 is the slightly lower spec IBIS. However, it's still very capable and personally I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor. The E-M10 is a great camera and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The E-M5 is nice too, but it shows that it's the first of the OM-D line since so much has changed since.
