Re: Olympus MAL-1 Macro Arm Light

I've come back after digging out my LED light arms.
Here are the 3. The Olympus Macro Arm Light MAL-1 & the 2 JJC versions, Mirrorless & DSLR (in the packet).

I found the Olympus to have a little springiness in the arms which is not helpful & the JJC stiffer which stayed put better but this one has a loose switch that can easily be bumped on.

This is one result of using the Olympus version of a tiny spider in a pitcher (total height 60mm).

And then it got sick of the light shining in its eyes & turned around.

If you check the ISO it is high for this use & that is why these arms stay in the cupboard.
