First shots with the 50-200 mk1 on EM-1

I like this lens already after shooting a few images in poor light wide open at 200mm.

Considering the price I paid for it (and the fact that it comes with a 12 month warranty) I reckon it was a real bargain and the results don't look too bad either

Our resident squirrel, f3.5 with ISO200 in CAF mode, smallest single point, ISO400 for 1/800th sec at 35ft, cropped

A female House Sparrow at about 5ft (I don't know who was the most surprised when she arrived on the feeder ) ISO 400 for 1/200th sec at 200mm f3.5 CAF

A passing Coastguard helicopter, CAF, there was no time to change ISO but I pushed the aperture to f6.3 before grabbing the shot. The fast shutter speed , 1/3200th, has frozen the blades. Focus lock was fast and accurate

I still need to learn how to get the best out of it but I think its going to be fun
