Firmware refer to code used to configure an uncommitted logic array, eg the FPGA. Software refers to the stored machine code to be executed by a computer. That's why the word 'FIRMware' was coined....

You must have very steady hands if you can get sharp shots at 8 seconds! Can't imagine stabilisation would...

Lovely set. I was deeply sceptical about the 12-100 when it was first rumoured and then announced. But Olympus actually did it - a 24-200 equivalent lens sans compromise!
