I copied the red channel in to the image as a layer and fiddled with that. Must admit I didnt take too much notice of what I was doing!
It was along the lines of filtered luminance...

What we need is the facility to put a personal menu over the top of the camera menu. Something that can be loaded externally. Then people can write their own Nikon or Canon or Sony menu.

easiest way to check how your Camera handles nebulosity is to point it at Deneb If you get the North American Nebula you know it is fine. EM-5 mk I works

In another thread it was mentioned that CAF+TR didnt work. Well I certainly have not had any luck with BIF but using the 12-60 the other week at the Heavy Metal Buffet I put face detect and CAF+TR...
