It's important to get display calibration right for lots of reasons - to get faithful looking prints and so that other people with decently calibrated displays can see the true colour of your images....

I think the focus is out more than there being motion blur. The dog's hind quarters are in focus rather than its head.

Does the app let you tap the focus point on the screen?

You basically halve the number so f/4 is equivalent to f/8.

A very handy benefit is that you get greater brightness for the same DOF and so the benefit of faster shutter speed and/or lower ISO...

The main difference is that the E-M1 and E-M1 Mark II use phase-detect AF and contrast detect while all Panasonic bodies use only contrast detect. Panasonic does use some tricks to enhance its AF...
