Re: Conflicting Info from Olympus re 3 Year Extended Warranty

I'm not saying the repair isn't good, they did a fantastic job on the EVF. But for ages afterwards I was scared to take my camera out in bright sunlight. Not much good when you are trying to...

Re: Conflicting Info from Olympus re 3 Year Extended Warranty

I commented on this post when it was first brought up. So here's an update on my situation. The extended warranty for my E-M1 Mk2 runs out on the 19 of this month. I haven't heard anything from...

Re: Conflicting Info from Olympus re 3 Year Extended Warranty

Well it looks like I'm in the same boat. I knew my 6 months extended ran out in September, but the original 2 year was last month, which obviously means if they are applying those rules I won't be...

Alpine Labs Spark

Bit of a long shot. Has anyone got one of these remote controls?

I was sent one to test but just can't get it to work with the E-M1 Mk2. Alpine Labs support aren't exactly the most helpful

Battery Draining

I have the battery grip fitted to the MK2 and have set battery use to grip first, followed by the camera battery.

On e of the things I have noticed is that the camera battery drains, even although...

Re: That Leather Camera Bag

No matter how I try, I just cant find a way to fit any of my kit in a way that is logical and easy to use. So it's back to my trusty, "old and battered, nearly ten years old Lowepro backpack", that I...

Re: HLD-9 grip for E-M1 Mkii

Ok. I'm going to go a week or two without the grip to see if it makes a difference.

Re: That Leather Camera Bag

On the Gillis site they show the camera with the lens removed, not really practical

Re: That Leather Camera Bag

I know someone local who uses the Pen-F. Might ask them if they want the bag at a really knock down price. . It's a shame though, I would have liked to use it.

Re: That Leather Camera Bag

Brand new, untouched, other than for a quick look at it. Might be worth asking WEX. But I've also sent Olympus a message asking for a practical way of storing my kit with the bag

Re: That Leather Camera Bag

I'm not trying to sell it. Just see if anyone has managed to find a practical use because for the life of me I can't.

I'm seriously thinking of giving it to our local charity shop and let them...

That Leather Camera Bag

Has anyone found a practical use for the Gillis Leather Camera Bag that Olympus where giving away with the Mk2 at the NEC?

Apart from the fact that it's a bit heavy, I still haven't found a way to...

Re: HLD-9 grip for E-M1 Mkii

I got the grip with the show deal that Olympus were doing at the NEC. It's on the camera all the time but to be honest I haven't tried using the Mk2 without it. Mainly because I had the Mk1 with the...

Microsoft Camera Codec For ORF Files

Does anyone know if there is an updated Codec from Microsoft for E-M1 MK2 Raw files? I can view the Mk1 thumbnails in Windows explorer but not the Mk2.

Re: They bounce too ...

I sympathise with you. Did something similar in the Llanberis Pass with the E-M1 Mk1, only I didn't drop the camera until it came up and smacked me right in the eye.

First thought, along with a...

Auto-Focus activating when walking about using S-AF

First time I've really managed to get out and about since buying the camera last week. Weather conditions, nice sunny day with some very light wispy cloud.

Two lenses in use. The 12-40 mm Pro and...

Re: AF not as accurate

I've only just got the MK2 (Sunday) so cannot really comment as I've not had much time to test other than a few out of the window, but I haven't noticed the problem you are talking about

Re: Memory Card OM-D E-M1 Mark II suggestions

I was recommended to buy SanDisk rather than Lexar by someone from Olympus. On the Mk1 I always used SanDisk so it was a no brainer for me to upgrade to SanDisk again.

However, others might tell...

There's a clear difference between the two Ian and I prefer your version. Maybe it's down to me over-sharpening.

That looks nice and clean. I'm looking for an ISO 800 file that I may be able to crop to about the same amount to see if it is as clean
