Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

I have the original Em1 from 2013 and decided to 'miss out' the EM1.2 because as primarily a stills/landscape/street photographer I didnt think the Mk2 offered enough over the Mk1 to justify the...

Re: "OLYMPUS Investor Day 2018" (2018/9/5)

When I bought the Em-1 new in 2013, the marketing pointed towards 'rivalling DSLRs', but its clear that there is no point Olympus trying to compete in the image quality arms war currently raging. I...

Re: Prime M43 Lens?

The Olympus 25mm f1.2 has the 150 cashback offer on atm, of course, so at SRS (for example) its currently 799 after cashback.:)

It's my aim to spend less time worrying about cameras I don't own, and more time enjoying the ones I do. :)

Re: What does your photography say about you?

I think it was Lord Snowdon who said: "If you are a miserable wimp, your camera will take miserable wimpish pictures." :p

Re: Mine's on order, but which MMF should I get?

I've used the mmf3 with a 12-60 on an EM1 (+grip) for three years and not had a single thought about its robustness. I've also used the 70-300 lens with no problem either. It seems solid enough.

Re: Telephoto lens for E410....help.....

I have an Olympus 70-300 4/3 lens for sale at a price significantly cheaper than FFordes. It is in excellent condition and comes boxed with caps and a filter. It should work well with your E410. I...

Re: Moving on from PSP Pro X3

Might be interested in the 50-200 SWD. IS this still available or have you moved it on?

Re: Thinking of taking the plunge on an E-M1

Referring only to the combination I have - EM-1 + 12-60 +mmf3, this focusses as quickly as my E-3 on SAF (sorry, don't know about the E30); its very usable, but the camera is SO much more versatile...

Re: Rachel

I'd crop the first one more because the background is empty space, but in all three you've managed to capture her natural attitude, and done it very well. *yes

Re: Who saw that coming then?

Its a good job I put a bet on Germany winning by six, at 250/1. No I didn't, alas, but the mind boggles as to how much the bookies made out of last night!

Re: Lens changing when out and about

An unexpected bonus of using 4/3 lenses on the EM-1 via the mmf-3 is that the release on the mmf-3 means a sideways press, not a backwards one (which it would be with the release on the body). So I...

used olympus 75-300 ii at mpb - 209

Heads up,
209 seems like a good price for a used 75-300mm mk 2, if you're in the market for one. I suspect it won't be there long. They seem to have a quick turnover of used stock.

Re: Shutter Shock and the E-M5

my experience with shutter shock on the EM1 supports the idea that it is not user-clumsiness. I had shocked results in the 1/160th-1/250th range with the lightweight m43 14-42, hand-held or tripod...

Re: Em1 blurry photos help

First lock up today, also S-AF, but not charging a flash. ED70-300 lens on 640/sec f 5.5, 1600 ASA, Aperture priority, IS-1. No intense use here ( it happened after about a dozen shots). I noticed a...
