Re: A bit of B&W industrial heritage

Thanks guys - I do appreciate the critique. And I agree that the change in composition has added to the effectiveness of the shot. If only I'd been more critical myself in the first instance - but...

Re: A bit of B&W industrial heritage

Quite right. Took me ages to wait for a parked car near the house to vacate the area - would have ruined the shot if I'd not had the patience. :)

In the original shot (I'll post it up tomorrow),...

A bit of B&W industrial heritage

Digging through a few shots I took earlier in the year, I came across this one. What do you think? And does anyone recognise the location?

Re: Vulcan's Last Flight Tour Of The UK

How did you manage to arrange to fly that large-scale R/C airliner in formation - backwards at that - with the pair? :)

Re: Vulcan's Last Flight Tour Of The UK

Saturday was somewhat of a disaster. XH558 was over 1/2 hour ahead of schedule as it passed abeam my house, so I was travelling to the nearest waypoint when it passed. I did an emergency stop and...

Re: Metal BIF

Thanks, Jim.

Yes, it was a truly memorable experience, and in the most evocative of settings to boot. The sight was spectacular; the sound visceral.

I had been over to Coningsby two weekends...

Metal BIF

Derwent/Ladybower, Sunday. Had to grapple with a very hazy atmosphere, so things weren't as vivid as I would have liked. However I couldn't do much about that!

Re: DekHog

Just bought one of Derek's Metz 48s off him. Bought on Tuesday, in my hot sweaty mitts Thursday (today). Everything perfectly as described, very well packaged with all the right bits, and the whole...

Re: T20 & T32 flash

I still have my old T32 from my OM days, and am interested in the possibility of using it now on my E620. Is this possible? And if so, what do I need to do to get it to work properly? The hotshoe...

Great shot though, however processed/unprocessed.

Re: Some 9mm action - at last.

Thanks, Brian.

I know what you mean! On the motorway shot I had to hang myself out over the bridge parapet, as there was so much bridge still in shot. As it is, I failed and got a corner still...

Re: Olympus 70-300 settings.``

I have been a little bit disappointed with my 70-300 when trying moon shots when I first got it.

Now I don't know if this is guaranteed to make any difference, but I recently took all of my kit...

Some 9mm action - at last.

Tried out the new 9-18mm today. Been itching to get out with it since acquiring it a few weeks ago. So as the weather was favourable I took it along with me whilst out with the dog.

Not going to...

Very interesting, graphic, and well composed. I like it!
