The Mk II will potentially be better than the Mk I. Ultimately it depends on the speed of the lens's focus motor. The 50 f2 will be slow, slow, slow. That's the nature of the beast but focus speed...

Re: Problem with MC-20 2x Teleconverter

Re: Climate Change

No it isn't. Arab crude is a very light oil suitable mostly for making petrol. OTOH North Sea oil has a very low petrol content. In practice refineries (in this country anyway) are geared to...

Re: Default Custom Mode options OMD1 Mk2

Sadly, there isn't really one good setting for birds. Any particular set of settings I or anyone else could give you will be wrong most of the time. That would be more hindrance than help to you....

Re: Battery suggestions E-M1

I've got some Ex-Pros for my EM-1. I'm not sure that they have quite the capacity of the genuine Olympus battery but on a cost/capacity basis I think they're very good value. I find that the Oly...

Wood Pigeons are one of the few species of birds we get in this country which can breed all year round.

Re: Another photography workshop!

Badgers aren't actually that difficult to photograph once you've found the sett. Just remember to stay downwind at all times. It's a good idea to put up a camera trap for a while so that you can see...

Re: 40-150 Pro vs. 50-200 SWD

I've photographed House Martins in flight with mine. And that was with an E-M1 Mk 1 body.

Re: So who actually has an E-M1x?

Absolutely. It doesn't take much research to find out how popular it is with the pros, who are it's target audience. None of them seem to grumble about its size or price either. And it seems to...

Re: Factory reset - does it reset the file numbers ?

Factory resets have traditionally reset the file name/sequence no. since the old 43/rds days. I don't have the EM10 MkII to try it on (mine is a Mk I) but I did do a factory reset on my EM-1 Mk I...
