Re: Photocr**d

I assume you mean Photocrowd?

I had never looked at it before I saw this post. I can't see any great reason why I would want to look again!

I stick to Flickr. Total lack of contests...

Re: Computer screens

I've just got a BenQ SW2700PT monitor. Capable of 99% Adobe RGB colour gamut, well priced, and comes with a hood! Lovely quality......

Re: Affinity Photo 1.7 beta

One issue with Affinity Photo is that there is no lens correction support for the wonderful 12-100 F4 Pro lens "out of the box".

However, there is a new tutorial about adding lens profiles -...

New Affinity Photo tutorials from Serif

To coincide with the release of Affinity Photo 1.7, Serif have released a large number of new tutorial videos, presented by the excellent James Ritson. They are quite short and well focussed.

To...

Re: Affinity Photo 1.7 beta

I wondered if that might be out of date now, it has been around quite a while, but obviously not [emoji106]

Re: Affinity Photo 1.7 beta

My copy of Affinity Photo is also updated to the release version of 1.7.

Performance is definitely improved, and raw files seem to load faster. It does not have lens corrections for the 12-100 F4...

Re: Affinity Photo 1.7 beta

Affinity works with Nik plugins. It's a bit of a faff to install them, but see here:

Mostly working now. Uploading and viewing seems fine. Speed is good generally but Edge seems slow. Opera is fine.

The Android app is still broken. Apparently it is tied to some developer stuff in...

Things still not working, at least for me:

Re: Photography course information...

If you’re a gadget and gizmo photographer you’ll be very limited – there’s not even a good telephoto lens available yet and no wide angle lenses at all which is extremely limiting for the micro 4/3....

Re: Advice on lenses

I have the 12-50 (which was a kit lens) and the 12-40 pro. The 12-50 is a pretty good lens and I often use it on a Pen F as it is small and light. The 40-150 is great value for money and again...

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

Just installed the 64 bit version on Windows 10 without issues and it looks quite decent. It certainly seems much more user friendly than OV3. Yes, there is a manual!

Re: Anyone print A3 ?

Give these people a go. They are only a few miles from me so I can save on postage and their prices are very good. Make sure you use their colour profiles.

Re: Affinity Photo 1.7 beta

I follow Affinity on Twitter. I haven't had an email or seen it mentioned anywhere else. I wonder if this is a "soft roll-out"? It took quite a long time to download.

It seems to work a treat!...
