Re: Problem with MC-20 2x Teleconverter

I'm sure you'll like it now it's working. I haven't taken mine off the 40-150 since I got it.

Re: Calibrating monitor(s)

Thanks Tram I'll give DisplayCal a try.

Ian (Rawcoll) I only had them print onto standard paper so I don't know about their other products. Send them an email and I'm sure they will be able to...

Re: Calibrating monitor(s)

Steve I used a Spyder 5 to calibrate my monitor about a year ago now and it didn't seem to do very much except add a very very slight green tint. Just couldn't get rid of it so have lived with it...

Re: Olympus 50mm F2 Macro 4/3rds

It's one of the few 4/3s lenses I kept as Harold said it's a great macro lens and a real bargain at that price. I'm suprised no one has snapped it up yet.

Re: Live Composite Mode

Nice image Mark. I've always thought Live Comp was a pretty cool feature but now realise I've never actually used it in anger. Used Live Time before but not Live Comp so must get out and give it a go...

Re: What broadband speed do you need?

No we don't have a smart TV Derek but would have got one fairly soon as our current one is on it's last legs. I might pay a visit to a local TV store to see what sort of connection they need to check...

Re: What broadband speed do you need?

Yes currently we are on FTTP hence the super fast speeds. The area we are looking to move to definitely doesn't have fibre anywhere closer than a few miles and Sky's most expensive plan offer had...

Re: What broadband speed do you need?

Thanks for the info guys. We are on Virgin and they kept upgrading it for free so we are now at 220MB/s download and 21MB/s upload according to speed test hence never needed to worry about speed....

What broadband speed do you need?

Just wondered what speed is needed to operate this forum and post images We've been looking to move house to a more rural location that only has 5Mb/s download which is a lot less than the 200Mb/s...

Re: Which of these would be of interest?

Ian having looked very closely at the copies of the Panny 100-400 I bought I think I have a pretty good idea what goes wrong with it but I wont pollute your hire thread with more comments. If anyone...

Re: Which of these would be of interest?

There are lots of lucky people where the fit is fine but there is also a lot of detail on the web from people who like me have had problems. My biggest issue was that l could accept early lens IQ...

Re: Which of these would be of interest?

Interesting comment about the Panny 100-400. If you do get one to hire out Ian be very very careful it is a lens that fits the Olympus bayonet fitting without shedding any metal shards  I tried...

Re: Fisheye and the Moon

I'd go for the Blue Wensleydale as Wallace and Gromit can't be wrong :)

I'm not sure how it was suspended but if you look very closely you can see a black line in some of the images next to the...

Fisheye and the Moon

Not very often you get close enough to the Moon to use a fish eye lens! Just thought I'd have a play in the Derby cathedral exhibition of the Moon. Gravitational distortion anyone? :)

Re: E-M1(ii) silver edition or Mk3?

Yes I'd go for an OMD EM1 mk2 now as well but as it's a second camera I'd go with either a second hand one or a new one from one of the grey suppliers like HDEW. That way you save more cash for when...

Re: Two images

I agree with Angelica but prefer the rendering of the fence and path in the first one. It looks a bit over exposed in the second.

Re: Walkabout Creek Hotel

Nice shots but it looks a bit like a Ghost Town Larry. Hope it gets busy enough at the Sundown the rush hour to be commercially viable.
