I did initially think of a "blower brush" but thought that might not be enough to make a difference. Thanks for the advice not to use compressed air. I had not thought about propellent and assumed it...

Possible a can of compressed air over the shutter mechanism whilst it is operating might help, assuming that the sensor can take this.

I take my E-PM2 as a backup. I use it as a separate more portable system that can go into a jacket pocket or briefcase for quick snaps but on holiday it comes with me in case the E-M5i stops working...
