Re: Have you ar are you thinking of going mirrorless with Micro Four Thirds?

I am the same as OM User and came directly from film, mainly OM1 and 4ti, I always wanted to stay Olympus as I thought DSLRs were always too big and cumbersome. For example go to any airshow and...

Welcome Dougie,
This is a great forum I've been on for a while now and it's very friendly. I was on holiday at Wheddon Cross this year, Somerset is a lovely county.

Re: What a Fungi to be with.

Hello Dave,
I'm even more impressed now that you didn't use flash. I thought there was catch lights in some of the water droplets. Available light is always more natural I think having used fill in...

Re: Crail Harbour

Hello Mike,
That's one of the best photos of Crail that I've ever seen, it's hard to get something new when it is such a popular place.
Regards Jim.

Re: What a Fungi to be with.

Hello Dave,
Those are lovely shots and the flash has really helped to separate them from the background. I like it when it's a bit dull as you have less contrasty light and a bit of fill in flash...

Re: More from Buttermere

Re: Autumn Colours.(Image heavy)

Hello Peter,
Those are great I think no.6 is my favourite with the colour in the water. I just hope it doesn't get too windy tomorrow and the leaves get a chance to fully turn.
Regards Jim.

Re: Perthshire Outing

Hello Mike,
Three great photos there, I like the last one the most. You picked a good day to go out, I think we're in for some windy weather now so the rest of the leaves may not get the chance to...

Re: Loch Voil on Glorious Autumn Day

Hello Dave, Peter and Iain,
Thanks for your kind comments, it was one of those days when the light was just unbelievable into the sun and the shifting clouds kept lighting up different areas. I've...

Re: Buttermere at dawn

Hello Alf,
I think that's a brilliant shot, cropping it would maybe lose the benefit of the 12mm lens giving all that depth of field. I like the cloud reflections right in front of you among the...

Re: Vulcan's Last Flight Tour Of The UK

Just been looking over this thread again for today's posts which are excellent, it's a shame we won't see it flying again. The shots with the other planes give a good idea of how big it is. I would...

Re: Vulcan's Last Flight Tour Of The UK

Hello Graham, That's a shame you weren't closer to it, at least you still got to see one of Britain's great aircraft on the last day. I was at work when Concorde made it's last flight into Edinburgh,...

Re: Vulcan's Last Flight Tour Of The UK

Hello PVASC,
You got some good ones there, I wasn't too worried about getting the perfect shot as I didn't want to miss the plane while fiddling with the camera! I thought we were going to miss it...

Re: Your Best 3 of 2014

Hello Chevvy,
Excellent shots, the pano is the best one for me followed by your dog. I take it you used the Dramatic Tone filter, it's my favourite.
