Re: What do these letters mean?

Ross the Fiddler, "The best new price in Australia that I can see comes from DigiDirect with limited stock of Silver models and Black in stock."
Thank you Ross. Yes I went with them - having fun!

Re: What do these letters mean?

Fully agree, I've been following the second hand market for some time now. These only appear occasionally and the prices aren't much below the lowest new price.

Re: What do these letters mean?

Thanks - Seems these letters appear only on ads from Hong Kong (in ebay), don't seem to be related to the colour.

Re: What do these letters mean?

[QUOTE=Keith-369;479010]Don't wish to be discouraging but hasn't the Pen-F just been classed as discontinued.

It's because of that very reason I have finally made the move.

What do these letters mean?

I'm finally going to full fill my long held wish to buy a PEN F - Yeh!
However checking out the various selling website I noticed some PEN Fs have the letters ZF and others XK. What is this all...

Re: Don’t ask, it just appealed to me……….

Yep relate to that. Remember with my first camera taking a photo of a loaf of bread on the table with a few slices cut and laying flat - my father coming in and hitting the roof, "What are you doing...

Smile Re: Aiternative to Movie Button?

You can also change from using the red button to using the shutter button to start and stop a movie = Menu > cog icon > I Movie > Shutter Function > mode2 >OK. This avoids taking a still mid movie...

Smile Re: Aiternative to Movie Button?

Thanks all, I too use still photography as my preference and so have fully allocated all available buttons to make quick selection depending on what type of photography I am doing. This includes...

Question Aiternative to Movie Button?

I fear I know the answer to this but am hoping a clever sleuth on this forum may have found an alternative.
On the E-M1 if the Movie Button has been allocated an alternate function, is there another...

Re: Nissin i60A looks interesting

[QUOTE=Ian;394573]FL-50R, the FL-900R at Photokina but I also got to see an alternative that may well give the FL-900R a run for its money, the Nissin i60A. I've written it up over at my new-look...

Old flash on Micro 4/3?

I remember reading that the FL-36R & 50R do not perform reliably with micro 4/3.
I cannot record where I read this and have trawled through this site and it seems not here.
The most I can find is...

Re: Viewer 3 stopped sending emails.

Thanks Ross, but I have finally solved it: In the Windows 10 Setting/ System/Default Apps, it's not enough just to chose Thunderbird (or any other), you have to then scroll down (like fine print!)...

Viewer 3 stopped sending emails.

I have been sending photos attached to emails through Viewer 3 since it was installed and have been very happy with the process. Recently it decided to stop working (I have Windows 10 and the email...

Re: Same or different final prints?

Thanks Ross, BUT you confuse me quoting Graham as it is an 8 bit jpeg file (from RAW) that is finally printed???

Re: Same or different final prints?

Thanks everyone for your replies and information.
I think I now know the answer, but it has not been stated.
So, for an answer to my original question, in the following summary can it be answered...

Re: E-M5 II Viewfinder / screen switching

Not sure if it is the same on the 5 mkII, but on the 1 if you leave your eye on the viewfinder and press the playback button; it goes black for about a third of a second, then playback images appear.

Re: Same or different final prints?

I know I am thick, but how many bits does a jpeg file have once it is converted into Jpeg from RAW ready for printing?

I am trying to sort this out (and my head hurts).

Basically what is the difference between a Jpeg file straight from the camera and a Jpeg file from a RAW file?

Some background: If you take an...

Stunning looking camera meeting the desires of street photographers, in camera creators and the image conscious. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a cult camera.

Re: Sharpness

Yes I too love the Olympus LSF JPEGs - just right. The same comments to use RAW come from other brand users who don't seem to be able to get good JPEGs from their cameras. I have had questions to me,...
