Re: NASA Retinex Image Processing.

Well the original press release on the site is dated 2001.....

From the examples I've seen I don't think you would need to be all that clever with Photoshop, a bit of top & tail on the tone and...

Re: E-M5 Mark III hands-on

I think that the 12-100 and 12-40 are both excellent lenses and they have different strong points. The 12-100 gives more reach. The 12-40 is smaller (but still quite a chunky monkey as someone here...

E-M5 Mark III hands-on

London Camera Exchange have an E-M5 Mk III that they are taking on a tour of their branches. Ours must be one of the first as they have it today so I popped in for an anticipatory fondle.

Re: The Goodwood Revival (image heavy)

I love the rusty bike sandwiched between the two mid-life crisis cars!

Re: The Goodwood Revival (image heavy)

Agreed, a great and atmospheric set. If I had to pick a favourite I would be torn between Just Google It and the girl on the carousel with pint in one hand taking a selfie with the other.

You are...

Re: Upcoming Exhibition

Best of luck Dave. If I go to The Smoke during October I will try and fit in a detour out East.

What you say about the selection process is very interesting. I will certainly look forward to...

Another vote for Luton, they have done a few repairs for me and always been good.

Re: Galloway Pine Marten - at last!

Well done, persistence rewarded by a great set of photos. The backlighting works brilliantly.

Are you going to carry on in the hope of catching more of the family?

Interesting, thanks Ross. Do you have "before" photos, specially of the body? I would like to see what you can rescue with your undoubted skills.

Re: F Stop.............!!

The only thing that works the same as f/8 on "full frame" is f/8 on full frame :) The whole thing is a combination of focal length, sensor size and aperture, they all work together. As a very rough...

Re: Olympus 1.4x Tele Converter EC-14

To state the obvious, it will only work with 4/3 lenses, not Micro-4/3. If it works well with a particular lens on a 4/3 body there is no reason at all why it shouldn't on M4/3. And in practice I can...

Re: Sony RX100

I've been running a Mark III for a few years. Within its limitations it can produce quite good images and I'm quite pleased with it, but wouldn't use it for anything mission-critical.

Plus points:...
