I just checked mine for bif shooting and I too had it set to Mode 2. Just changed it to Mode 3. So lets see what happens. One possible downside might be more battery use I guess.

Unfortunately, I think you do lose most of it. In fact, in Photoshop if you select File > File Info it will show you what's left.

You are not the only one that fantasized about Jensen Interceptors in the '60s.
They were simply superb. The top-end one was four-wheel drive as well, the FF version.

Worked OK for me as well I am on a Mac running MacOS Mojave.

Adobe don't have a good reputation for doing updates though.
