Re: Panasonic 100-400

With the zoom lock fully in the off position mine is smooth. It's not silky smooth like the 40-140mm f2.8 pro, but more akin to the cheaper 40-150mm f4-5.6 R. To give an idea how smooth it is I get...

Such a good weekend at the Silverstone Moto GP, great racing and a photo finish on the line. Here's some pics from the practice and qualifying sessions.

Re: v3 Firmware for mk2 - updates for mk2, m1x and lenses

Just turn off eye auto EVF when doing street stuff, you can still swap from EVF to LCD by pressing the ‘monitor’ button :tup

Re: So who actually has an E-M1x?

I had a couple of days with one at Thruxton and TBH for motorsports didn't see any advantage over the EM1-II, in fact I preferred to use my EM1-II due to the size and weight. The only thing that I...

Re: Assign hi res to depth of view button

I don't believe that it can be done either. However, I have set up custom mode 3 as high res so it's just a quick turn of the dial and everything's set up :tup

Re: Alternative Eye Cups?

Eyecup arrived today. Thoughts are that it doesn't look as good on the camera but it is much better. I don't have to crush my nose against the LCD to get a good seal around my eye now :tup

Surprise View

Going through my back catalogue and I stumbled across this that I shot with the EM5-II a few years back. Thought it looked half decent so decided to process it.

Re: Few Pics of my hometown

Thanks. Olympus cameras do have a miniature effect (diorama I think they call it) but it's jpeg only. It's quite an easy effect to do in PP, although of course it will never look exactly like a true...

Re: Some holiday snaps from Dubai.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

@Zuiko I can imagine it's a very marmite place, but I have to say I absolutely loved it. It's OTT and extreme, but great for it imo. It's unlike any other place...

Re: Electronic shutter/silent mode query.

Thanks. Yeah I get that thanks and understand how it works. Maybe my choice of 'effective shutter speed' was a bad one. But it does take time to 'scan' the sensor and as such you can still get...

Em5 Mark II, 12-40mm f2.8 (price reduced), 40-150mm f4-5.6 plus other bits

After much deliberation I am reluctantly putting my Olympus gear up for sale. I really love my little Olly, but it rarely gets used due to using my D750 for most things and it seems a waste it sat...
